Virtual performance series
In 2021, the PMSO went virtual! We launched our virtual performance series with a full orchestra performance of Nimrod from Elgar’s Enigma Variations on November 26th, along with a series of small chamber programs from individual’s homes.

Why did we go virtual?
Like so many others, we last rehearsed together at the beginning of March 2020 not knowing that many of us would be in lock-down for months or caring for COVID-19 patients. Through the toughest times many of our members found music to be a comfort and escape.
While we couldn’t perform together or have physical audiences, this clip is a movement of what we had intended to perform that spring. It was a bright spot to make music together during such a dark time, and we hope you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoyed making it.
